ELECTROMYOGRAPHY/NERVE CONDUCTION STUDY (EMG/NCS) INSTRUCTIONS: 1.) REQIURED TIME: If this is your initial visit, please arrive 15 minutes early. Allow 1 hour for the study. 2.) DEFIBRILLATORS AND PACEMAKERS: Please contact our office prior to scheduling the study. 3.) BLEEDING DISORDERS: If you are currently taking Warfarin (Coumadin), Aspirin, Plavix, Aggrenox or you have a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia, thrombocytopenia or other clotting disorder. Please contact our office prior to scheduling the study. 4.) SHOWER/BATHING: To remove oil from your skin, please bath or shower prior to the study. 5.) LOTIONS: Please do not apply any lotions, creams, oils as this may cause an adverse affect to your study. 6.) CLOTHING: Please wear loose clothing.
